What is Half-Life 2: Aftermath?
Half-Life 2: Aftermath is the upcoming Half-Life 2 expansion pack, just recently announced by VALVe Software themselves, to be released via Steam only (apparently, it won't ship in retail), which will obviously be pre-loadable the day it's released. Anyway, it takes place after the events of Half-Life 2, and after the ruin of the Citadel, as you'll play and fight along side the character known as Alynx Vance, assuming the role of another character (presumably not Gordon Freeman), breaking from the regular Half-Life tradition, so there will be a lot more character development with Alyx Vance.
Who is developing Half-Life 2: Aftermath?
Astonishingly, VALVe Software have decided to take it upon themselves to develop Half-Life 2: Aftermath, instead of some other company, such as Gearbox Software.
Who will publish Half-Life 2: Aftermath?
Vivendi Universal and Sierra Studios, most likely, the same companies who published Half-Life 2.
What platforms will Half-Life 2: Aftermath be ported on, Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Xbox, Playstation 2, Game Cube etc?
We're not sure yet as it's a bit too early to announce any ports.
What engine changes have been made?
Not a lot really, aside from some additional minor tweaks, and notably will feature a new AI system for your Allies and therefore working with them in collaborative action.
When will it be released?
It's to be released on June 1st, but should be available via Steam when it comes to unlocking the pre-load on May 31st.
When will a demo be released?
As Game Informer Online have recently substantiated, it's to be released on May 31rst and to be distributed via Steam for a price of $19.99 USD.
What about system requirements?
The system requirements will most likely be identical to Half-Life 2's system requirements (which you can find on the system requirements page), if you can run Half-Life 2 fine with your current system setup, you'll have no trouble at all running Half-Life 2: Aftermath.
And the Half-Life 2: Aftermath SDK?
We're not sure yet if VALVe Software will bother to release an SDK for Half-Life 2: Aftermath, if that's even really neccessary.
[2] Single Player
What is single player like?
Not enough information has been unleashed to tell yet.
[3] Multiplayer
What is multiplayer like?
Not enough information has been unleashed to tell yet, and VALVe Software will probably remain tight-lipped on the matter.
What game modes are there?
Not enough information has been unleashed to tell yet.
[4] More Expansion Packs
Are there any other Half-Life 2 expansion packs planned?
Not as far as we know.

What can we do with this FAQ (distribution wise)?
It's probably ideal that you shouldn't and wouldn't distribute this FAQ but rather link to it because after-all I did write this FAQ myself alone and I don't feel that it is appropiate for anyone to start plagiarism of this FAQ, especially since it's in it's under-construction state of progress.
